Volunteering
"I have been a Pace/Oar board member since 2005. I actively support Pace/Oar because the issues faced by the ex-offender population are not recognized and these needs directly affect the stability of the overall community. The results of our work help people obtain a second chance and provide the resources to strengthen family relationships."> Kevin E. Dooley Jr. (PACE/OAR Board Member)
"For many years I have taught college level courses in state correctional institutions. My experience allowed me to be exposed to the high level of intelligence among students. I know that this is not a popular population with which to work, but on the other hand I know the rewards of assisting someone who can achieve successful employment and return to a family following incarceration. It became important for me to make a contribution toward their success. In addition every citizen has a stake in assuring a positive move from prison to the community."

Your tax-deductible contribution, at the level of your choosing, will be used
to leverage corporate and philanthropic support. Together, we can be the
difference between families being reunified and those that are tragically
destroyed. We can be the difference between successful community
reintegration and yet another recidivism statistic. We can be the difference
between a child of an offender with hope, and one lost to criminal activity.
